For this album we aimed for the sound to be a
bit rougher and a bit more in the vain of early 90's grind albums
with more natural sounding drums (ie not super-triggered mega
clean), so recording was done without a lot of fancy equipment.
The songs on this album are, as always, grindcore - we're not
trying to re-invent the wheel here - but with some slow parts
thrown in to keep things interesting.
One of the songs is sort of a "fake cover" of one of
our favourite bands... instead of doing a real cover we tried
ripping off some of their musical trademarks... if you don't know
what band we are paying homage to you should be ashamed of yourself!
The cover art was made by Paul McCarrol and he did an awesome
job in his visualization of our vague ideas in this sweet, innocent
looking, but still gross painting. He also did the additional
artwork for the CD and the LP.
As good as the CD looks, the vinyl version of the album looks
really stunning - thanks to layout master Orion Landau
and of course Paul McCarrol - and will be available in a limited
number in clear, yellow and red vinyl. So you should really try
to get your hands a bunch of copies of it!
